apple and flower candle holders

Have you ever been stuck for candle holders? We thought these would add a pretty and functional decoration to your table, especially outside on a balmy evening.  Use any colour apple and flower combination to suit the rest of your table. 

you will need:

6 apples

2 large flowers, plus a few to scatter

6 flower sprigs, such as lavender, but whatever you have in your garden will be perfect

6 candles 

an apple corer 

how to:

1 Using the apple corer remove the centre of the apples

2 Position the candles in the holes in the apples

3 Arrange the apples in groups of three so that they support one another and place a large flower in the middle of each group and then add a few sprigs in between - however you think it looks pretty

use seasonal vegetables or fruit available such as small pumpkins in the autumn
