vintage cake tier

Not only is this quirky way to make use of old pieces of china (there are plenty for sale on eBay if you had a clumsy granny) you will also be making yourself something incredibly useful.  Vintage style really suits cake tiers but plain china will be equally as effective and have a more contemporary feeling.  Versions of these are currently selling for over £100 (as advertised in The Times) so this craft could even be the new source of your pin money.

you will need:

a cup and saucer

3 egg cups 

1 large plate

1 smaller plate

ceramic glue

how to:

1  Arrange the china from large to small on top of one another 

2 Prepare the ceramic glue and then carefully glue each piece together ensuring they are all centrally aligned

3 Allow to dry completely before using
